Privacy policy

This policy explains how personal data is processed when you visit mariusbleif.com. It follows the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Controller

Marius Bleif

2. The website

mariusbleif.com is a static website. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, has no forms or accounts and loads no third-party scripts or fonts; everything the page needs is served from the site itself.

The only data processed is the standard technical data the hosting provider records whenever a page is requested: IP address, date and time, the page requested, browser and operating system, and the referring page. These server logs are used to deliver the site and keep it secure, and are deleted after a short period.

The site is hosted by Netlify, Inc., 512 2nd Street, Suite 200, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Netlify is certified under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. See Netlify's privacy policy.

3. Links to other sites

The site contains links to other websites. No data is passed to them until you follow a link; from then on their own privacy policies apply.

4. Contact by email

If you write to me, I process the data you send in order to answer you. It is kept for as long as the correspondence requires and then deleted.

5. Purposes and legal basis

Data is processed only to deliver the site, keep it secure and answer your requests. Under the FADP no separate legal basis is required for such proportionate processing. Where the GDPR applies, the basis is my legitimate interest in running a secure website and in responding to correspondence (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

6. Transfer abroad

The hosting provider is based in the USA. The transfer relies on its certification under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which the Swiss Federal Council recognises as providing adequate protection.

7. Your rights

You may ask, free of charge, for access to the personal data held about you, and for its correction or deletion. Write to marius.b.gm@gmail.com; I may need to verify your identity first. You may also lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), Feldeggweg 1, 3003 Bern, Switzerland, or, where the GDPR applies, with the supervisory authority responsible for you.

8. Changes

This policy may be revised when the site or the law changes. The version published here applies.
